Off topic, but do Brazilians think about Americans these days? I know
our governments are slightly on the outs, resulting in border
inconveniences. Our fault, as far as I can tell. I shouldn't say "our"
- I didn't vote for them.

Your written English is good. You might spell out the word "you",
though - this isn't text messaging.

Though in a state of society some must have greater
luxuries and comforts than others, yet all should have
the necessities of life; and if the poor cannot exist,
in vain may the rich look for happiness or prosperity.
The legistlature is never so well employed as when they
look to the interests of those who are at a distance
from them in the ranks of society. It is their duty
to do so; religion calls for it; humanity calls for it;
and if there are hearts who are not awake to either of
those feelings, their own interests would dictate it.

Are there any native anthropomorphic (body part) maps in Brazil?

These maps were made by configuring the body of a god or goddess
over the area to be mapped. The name for each part of that body
became the name of the area or feature under that part. This produces
a scale !:1 "map" on which each named place automatically indicates
its approximate location and direction with respect to every other
place (on the same map) whose name was derived in this way.

In Alberta, Canada, there is a map of Napi (aka The Old Man), the
creator of the Blackfoot Indians, and of his wife (The Old Woman).
His skull is at Calgary. She is wearing her Medicine Hat.

There are similar Phoenician maps of Hermes (in Asia minor) and
Aphrodite (in north Africa).

For more information about these maps, go to the BPMaps website at
